seed plants-
Seeds contain the sporop
The embryo within the seed is dormant; it can survive for long periods without additional food or water. When conditions become favorable, the embryo resumes growth as the seed germinates.
hyte embryo, food for the embryo, and a protective coat.

Flower- parts are modified leaves. They develop within a bud.
A bud is a structure on a stem within which growth (cell division) occurs.
In many plants the same bud that previously formed leaves stops producing leaves and starts producing a flower.
Flower parts evolved as modified leaves attached to a stem tip called a receptacle.
Monocots have flower parts in multiple of threes; eudicot parts are in multiples of fours or fives.

cones-Here you can see natural cones from an alder tree which are often used to represent pine cones in miniature scales. To represent cones in scale, they should be the correct size of the real cone. These alder cones represent real cones six to eight inches in height, which

leaves-are nature's food factories. Plants take water from the ground through their roots. They take a gas called carbon dioxide from the air.

seeds-contain an embryo that will form a new plant. contains a food source for the embryo

roots-absorb water and dissloved nutrients.

capillary action-movement of liquid up a narrow tube

photosynthesis- is the procces of connverting light and energy to chemical and storing it in bonds of sugar

diffusion- the movement of particals from an area of high concentration to an area with low concentration

active trasport- the process in which large particals cross the cell membrane. Active transport requires energy

transpiration- is the evaporation of water from plants

cellular respiration- the process in which cells break down sugar particals into carbon dioxide

osmosis- the movement of water molecules from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration

germination- happens when a baby plant is growing. The plant is between the cotyledons. This is a seed.

seed stage- when a plant isn't fully developed

seedling stage- when a seed has grown past seed stage and and is preparing for adult stage

adult stage- an insect in it's sexually mature adult stage after metamorphosis -answers.com

pollination- process in which a male and female parts of a plant join to reproduce a seed -science in action 7

pollen- male part of plant that unites with the female part of the plant - science in action 7

ovule- female part of a plant which unites with the male part of the plant

ovary- the ovaries are magnificent glands which are part of a female reproductive system http://womenshealth.about.com/cs/ovarianconditions/a/yrovrisovuovads.htm
