In completing the Chapter 1 task, students will demonstrate their understanding and appreciation of governance in Canada and how effectively the political system responds to issues. They will research, develop and communicate speeches in response to the chapter task question,

“As Canada’s Prime Minister, how would you respond to what you believe is the most important issue about government today?”

  • Media Bias
  • Senate Reform
  • Lobbyists
  • 1st Past the post and other election strategies
  • Monarchy? should it stay or should it go?
  • Minority Representation
  • Minority Government vs. Majority Government
